WEBINAR: Meeting the Needs of Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Primary and Post Primary Schools: An Introduction for Boards of Management

 

This webinar will be informed by recently published guidelines and policies to support schools in their delivery of inclusive and special education for children and young people with SEN in primary and post primary schools.

 The webinar will provide an overview of:

  • the Special Education Teacher (SET) allocation model of provision for students with SEN and guidelines to support enactment of the model
  • how schools organise additional support for students with SEN
  • the role of school personnel in the delivery of support
  • the role of the board of management in supporting schools

Dr Johanna Fitzgerald, ETBI National Coordinator for Inclusion, Special Education and Research will host the webinar and facilitate a Q&A session with special guest Shirley Murphy, Senior Inspector with responsibility for Special Education and Dr Pauline  Kerins, Senior Psychologist with NEPS.

The content of this webinar will be of particular relevance to Chairpersons of Boards of Management and members of Boards of Management.
